Hodgson Elkington
sponsor Lincolnshire Under 15's County Rugby
matchball

Simon Stevenson presents the sponsored matchball
to Lincolnshire Under 15's County Rugby team
captain Simon Lilley. On the right is the
team's coach, Sam Elkington.
Hodgson Elkington, the East Midlands chartered
surveyors, who recently launched an initiative
aimed at encouraging junior sports and youth
development through its Junior Sports Programme,
sponsored the matchball used by the Lincolnshire
Under 15's County rugby side in the Royal
Sun Alliance National Under 15's ten-a-side
festival at the Commonwealth Games stadium
in Manchester at the Bank Holiday weekend.
Simon Stevenson
said, "the event was a superb opportunity
for the boys to not only participate in the
tournament but is also provided a test of
the new Commonwealth Games Stadium and facilities
prior to the actual Games themselves."
The team participated in a number of hard
fought and close matches including a victory
over Cheshire, whiles sustaining narrow losses
to Sussex, Derbyshire and eventual winner
of the tournament, Cornwall.
Approximately 40 countries will be represented
in a knock-out style tournament. Lincolnshire
has already defeated South Yorkshire, Leicestershire
and Derbyshire in recent matches, so are considered
strong contenders to make it through to the
final stages.
The presentation took place at the Lindum
prior to the team's departure.
