Surveyor's
round Britain ride to raise cash for LIVES
in excess of £3,000 at half-way stage
Lincoln chartered surveyor Daniel Race has
raised £3,100 at the half way stage
for LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary
Emergency Service) on his round Britain sponsored
motorbike trip - one and a half times more
than his original target of £2,000.
Speaking from the Scottish borders at the
half way point in his five day money raising
journey the partner with Hodgson Elkington
and a trained First Responder volunteer with
Nettleham LIVES, said that he was now revising
his target upwards once again in the light
of the generous response from local businesses
and members of the public.
Now he is hoping to reach £3,500 by
the time he completes his 2,300 mile money-raising
mission. Lincoln Ducati dealer and Italian
motorcycle specialist Italia Moto has supplied
Daniel, a keen motorcyclist, with a state-of-the
art Ducati ST4 machine for the trip.
His five-day trip will have taken him to
Lizard Point, Lowestoft, Dunnet Head, and
the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in Scotland. He
expects to cover between 400 and 550 miles
a day.
The money raised will go towards training
and equipping First Responders, who are community
based volunteers working to provide early
basic life support to patients in the critical
period between the 999 call and arrival of
an ambulance.
