Decorator painting
a bright future for firm
Decorating expert Noel Slattery is spreading
a new service to a village on the outskirts
of Lincoln.
After seeing the business he launched less
than three years ago grow rapidly to provide
work for 11 people, the owner of Lincs Decorating
Service has decided to open his own shop.
And after a search for the right premises,
he is now renovating an old taxi office in
Grantham Road, Bracebridge Heath, near Lincoln.
After concentrating heavily on a wide variety
of commercial work, including jobs for local
building firms, Mr Slattery is keen to take
on more private residential jobs.
And he is convinced there are plenty of opportunities
to give scores of county homes a makeover,
at a time when the housing market is still
racing away.
People are also being encouraged to spash
out and do up their homes, by bright and breezy
television programmes and specialist magazines.
"I am confident my new shop will attract
a large number of people, including those
who do not have the time or the ability to
hang wallpaper for themselves," said
Noel.
Chartered surveyor Hodgson Elkington, marketed
the shop, which is close to other businesses
and on a busy route into Lincoln.
Today partner Daniel Race said: "We
wish Noel well in his new business.
"There is little competition in decorating
products on this side of Lincoln, so he should
do well.
"All the DIY stores require a drive
into Lincoln and he has a growing customer
base in Bracebridge Heath with all the residential
development going on there," he added.
