Sam Elkington

Sam Elkington is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has an Honours Degree in Urban Land Economics. He has been involved in the business for over 30 years and during which time he has specialised in property management and related professional fields. Sam now provides expert advice on property investment management, dilapidation and Housing Act matters and has a special interest in the economic regeneration of rural areas. He was one of the founding partners of the new partnership formed in 1990. Married with two sons, interests include rugby and shooting.

Stephen Bradford

Stephen Bradford is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and holds a degree in Urban Estate Surveying. He has over 20 years’ experience of agency and development work. For the past 16 years, Stephen has specialised in property & land acquisition and property development and associated agency disciplines. Married with a son and a daughter, interests include cricket.

Daniel Race

Daniel Race is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is responsible for the firm’s Commercial Agency department, dealing with the sale and letting of shops, offices and factories throughout the East Midlands area. Daniel is a keen motorcyclist, he is married with two daughters.

Tim Shaw

Tim Shaw is a graduate of the University of Northumberland at Newcastle with an honours Degree in Estate Management. He specialises in the pro-active property management of clients' commercial portfolios. Experienced in professional work Tim deals with Party Wall Awards, Rent Reviews, and Lease Renewals throughout Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands area.

Peter Hornby

Peter Hornby is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and holds a degree in Urban Estate Surveying. He has over 30 years' experience as a surveyor and valuer and specialises in security valuations.

Marie Gutteridge

Marie Gutteridge is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds a degree in Urban Estate Surveying. Marie joined the Company in April 2007, having had over 18 years experience working for EMDA (formerly English Estates), Lincolnshire County Council and more recently HBS ( partners with LCC). She has experience in disposals, acquisitions, valuations, planning and all aspects of Estate Management. Her role within the Company is to tackle the growing volume of rent review and lease renewal work, in addition to taking an active role in other aspects of the business.

Sam Heathershaw

After joining the firm in 2005 and qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006, Sam's position within the firm quickly developed from assisting in the managing, letting and selling of commercial property, to having an autonomous role. Promotion to Senior Surveyor will give Sam the opportunity to concentrate on developing his skills and the portfolio's of selected Clients on larger, high profile instructions.

Adrian Bower

Adrian Bower is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has been working in the property sector in Lincolnshire for the last 8 years on a variety of roles including commercial and residential sales, residential lettings and commercial property management. His role at Hodgson Elkington is primarily in the Property Management Department, but he also has involvement in Landlord & Tenant work.

Alan Hicks

Property Manager
Alan Hicks joined Hodgson Elkington in 2008 and assists in the running of the Partnership’s Flat and Estate (Block Management) Portfolio throughout Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Alan’s interests include studying the Italian Language, cooking, cycling and, following Formula 1 and Moto GP Motor Racing.

Jill Elkington

Jill Elkington has worked within the Estate Management department since Hodgson Elkington was formed and is now responsible for the Residential Lettings department. Jill is predominantly involved in the co-ordination of Hodgson Elkington's residential management compliance and administration. Jill also represents ARLA and its membership covering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire sitting on the ARLA Members Advisory Forum alongside being the ARLA Spokesperson for the Midlands.

Shelley Bakewell

Senior Residential Lettings Property Manager
Shelley Bakewell is an experienced property manager having worked within the industry for some years. Shelley is ARLA qualified and specialises in the management of residential properties. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Residential Lettings Department and the management of the properties within the portfolio.

Brent Hall

Residential Property Manager
Brent Hall joined Hodgson Elkington in 2010 and brought with him a wealth of property experience to the residential lettings and property management department. Previously Brent completed 23 years’ service in the Armed Forces gaining considerable life experience along the way. Before joining the company Brent was involved in property and finance management during a period spent in Europe. He enjoys watching motor racing and hands on property renovation.

Kay Scrivens is an Accounting Technician and assistant to Phillip Bird in the company’s Property Management accounts department.

Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson is a surveyor within the Commercial department. He has a NFOPP Diploma in Commercial Property Agency and is a member of the Institution of Commercial and Business Agents. He also has a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture with Marketing from Harper Adams University.

Tom Elkington

Tom Elkington has an honours degree in Real Estate Management and is currently completing his APC qualification with Hodgson Elkington, specialising in Commercial Development and Agency work. Tom's interests include music and rugby.

Hayley Playle

Hayley is a Surveyor within the Commercial Management Department and assistant to Tim Shaw. She is working towards BSc in Estate Management through the College of Estate Management. Hayley's interests include shopping and snowboarding.

Rachel Tittcomb

Rachel Tittcomb has a wealth of experience having worked within the letting and management industry over a number of years including the setting up and running of a housing department office in a local authority. Rachel is ARLA trained and her experience is an asset to the company.

Christopher Hodgson

Christopher Hodgson is an independent chartered surveyor and chartered building consultant. He was a founding partner of the new partnership in 1990 and following his retirement in 2006 now provides management advice and services to the partnership. He is also involved in development of the firm's on-line property marketing systems.

Andrew Hey

Andrew Hey is an independent chartered surveyor with experience of property services and management at a high level in local Government.  He assists the firm with provision of outsourced property related services to the public sector.
