Sam Elkington is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has an Honours Degree in Urban Land Economics. He has been involved in the business for over 30 years and during which time he has specialised in property management and related professional fields. Sam now provides expert advice on property investment management, dilapidation and Housing Act matters and has a special interest in the economic regeneration of rural areas. He was one of the founding partners of the new partnership formed in 1990. Married with two sons, interests include rugby and shooting.

Marie Gutteridge is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds a degree in Urban Estate Surveying. Marie joined the Company in April 2007, having had over 18 years experience working for EMDA (formerly English Estates), Lincolnshire County Council and more recently HBS ( partners with LCC). She has experience in disposals, acquisitions, valuations, planning and all aspects of Estate Management. Her role within the Company is to tackle the growing volume of rent review and lease renewal work, in addition to taking an active role in other aspects of the business.

After joining the firm in 2005 and qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006, Sam's position within the firm quickly developed from assisting in the managing, letting and selling of commercial property, to having an autonomous role. Promotion to Senior Surveyor will give Sam the opportunity to concentrate on developing his skills and the portfolio's of selected Clients on larger, high profile instructions.

His role at Hodgson Elkington is primarily in the Property Management Department, but he also has involvement in Landlord & Tenant work.

Alan’s interests include studying the Italian Language, cooking, cycling and, following Formula 1 and Moto GP Motor Racing.

Jill Elkington has worked within the Estate Management department since Hodgson Elkington was formed and is now responsible for the Residential Lettings department. Jill is predominantly involved in the co-ordination of Hodgson Elkington's residential management compliance and administration. Jill also represents ARLA and its membership covering Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire sitting on the ARLA Members Advisory Forum alongside being the ARLA Spokesperson for the Midlands.

Shelley Bakewell is an experienced property manager having worked within the industry for some years. Shelley is ARLA qualified and specialises in the management of residential properties. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Residential Lettings Department and the management of the properties within the portfolio.

Brent Hall joined Hodgson Elkington in 2010 and brought with him a wealth of property experience to the residential lettings and property management department. Previously Brent completed 23 years’ service in the Armed Forces gaining considerable life experience along the way. Before joining the company Brent was involved in property and finance management during a period spent in Europe. He enjoys watching motor racing and hands on property renovation.

Christopher Hodgson is an independent chartered surveyor and chartered building consultant. He was a founding partner of the new partnership in 1990 and following his retirement in 2006 now provides management advice and services to the partnership. He is also involved in development of the firm's on-line property marketing systems.
