Why do I need a Survey if a Mortgage Valuation has already been completed?

The mortgage valuation report is prepared on behalf of the lender and is aimed towards protecting the lender's interests.

You cannot rely on this to protect your own personal interests, which may well be different from or exceed those relevant to the lender.
